在看孩子和书的时候发现了他为北风的背后做的一张插图，天哪，真美，特别是画中女人真是妩媚极了，说不出的勾人魂魄，整体感觉非常好，可惜那张图没找到。

亚瑟•休斯是一位拉斐尔前派的美术家。

有人曾这样评价他的画："the knife-edge between sentiment and sentimentality" 但因为明亮的用色和细致的细节，休斯的作品并不显得感伤。 他也是一个十分活跃的插画家。

'There is a willow grows aslant the brook,

There on the pendant boughs her coronet weeds

Clambering to hang an envious sliver broke.

When down the weedy trophies and herself

Fell in the weeping brook.'

1856年此画展出时附有丁尼生（Tennyson）的磨坊主的女儿（The Miller's Daughter）中的诗句作为注释：

'Love is hurt with jar and fret.

Love is made a vague regret;

Eyes with idle tears are wet,

Idle habit links us yet.

What is love? for we forget:

Ah, no! no!'

加拉哈德骑士是亚瑟王传奇中的人物，他被称为圣洁骑士，画面描写他寻找圣杯之旅，配有以下的诗：

Then move the trees, the copses nod,
