我是受了月光摇篮关于低幼儿童文学的讨论的启发，想到这个题目。选择的书刚好适合2-4岁幼儿，它们大概是故事性强且文字有韵味一类的。它们都是我在大千金小一点的时候和她一起读过的，所以，大家在看的时候，要大声读出来，就更能体会到文字的妙处了。
我的最主要的目的是，因为我猜想小书房这里很多人是儿童文学专业的，正在或将要从事儿童文学创作。所以如果我的举手之劳，能给大家的创作带来灵感，当然不是模仿，那是最好不过的了。
我的第二个目的，是方便给孩子寻原版书的妈妈们，虽然不是按图索骥，但多少是一点信息。
不过，我这样整篇文字抄上来，心里有些不安，所以下面一句话隔靴搔痒，但心里又觉得必需说的。更请大家不要再转贴了。

"Suppose she got lost," said Sarah,
"Or a fox got her!" said Percy.

Soft and silent, she swooped
through the trees
to Sarah and Percy
and Bill.
"Mommy!" they cried,

"WHAT'S ALL THE FUSS?"
their Owl Mother asked.
"You knew I'd come back."

本书的作者是爱尔兰人，2004年安徒生奖的得主。这个故事情节很简单，但包含的内容却很多，妈妈不在家时，孩子的焦虑；三个姐弟的相互体贴；猫头鹰妈妈找食的辛苦；大姐
的沉着冷静，二哥的聪慧机智，小弟的乖巧撒娇，都跃然纸上。整个故事的语言简练，读起来很有韵律感，尤其是每段最后一句"I want my mommy!" said Bill.，更是符合低幼图画书predictable(可预见)和repetitive(重复)的特点，非常针对幼儿的心理。在结尾之处，猫头鹰小弟的这句话变成了"I love my mommy!" said Bill.，又是多么令人出乎意料，而又在情理之中，可说是故事的点睛之笔，几个孩子和猫头鹰妈妈之间的亲情不言而喻。再值得一提的是插图，它以夜间的树林为背景，猫头鹰妈妈是褐色的，但三个小猫头鹰是白色的。它们的眼睛画得很亮，把猫头鹰那种在黑暗中锐利的眼光全都画在了纸上。大千金小的时候，非常喜欢这本书，她总要抢着说猫头鹰小弟的那句话。还曾经在上学前班的时候，自己要求把这本书带到学校，放在了课桌里。我猜想，可能是这本书里，妈妈总要回家的保证让她在离开我的时候感到安心吧。一本书，一个故事，能给孩子带来这些，那么不论如何，都是有它成为经典的道理的。
又看到两小千金的文章了，谢谢。喜欢这个故事，更喜欢后面的文字赏析。
在我给孩子选故事的时候。1个很重要的标准是挑选满足他心理需求的，以及可以印证他的生活体验的故事，当然无一例外，这样的故事无疑是会让他着迷的。
孩子在婴幼儿时期心理最需要的是什么？毫无疑问，是母亲确凿无疑的爱，而这种爱，是婴幼儿乃至人一生安全感的基础。孩子在6个月开始就有分离焦虑，就像最小猫头鹰表现的一样，没见到妈妈，念叨的唯一一句话就是：“I want my mommy”，当然，孩子不会说话的时候，这句话就变成了哭泣。长大一些，这种焦虑依然存在，但孩子已经开始了解一些成人世界的规则，知道妈妈是要去上班赚钱的，而以往的经验告诉他，妈妈会回来，所以会自己安慰自己，就像猫头鹰大姐一样。
从这个方面看，这个故事非常非常贴近幼儿的心理，满足幼儿对母爱和安全感的需求，印证他的生活体验，我相信所有的孩子都会喜欢，1岁左右的孩子就可以接受，是那种让孩子Repeat又Repeat 的好故事。

数码相机我有的，这样是麻烦。主要是上传速度太慢了，照片太大，有人建议用Photoshop编辑一下就好了，这个我家也没有。我前几天想放照片到网上，试了很久，总弄不好。你有更好的办法教教我。

真好,英文有翻译就更好了.
千金妈妈推荐的这几个故事俺都非常喜欢,读后甚至会反省自己的行为.比如蓝袋鼠的这个.
以前若是有别的小娃娃抢了我的玩具去,我这个大人会对他们恨恨的,还要伤心很久恼很久.读了这个故事我想我不会了.
这个蓝袋鼠的故事让人想起恩德的,还有两小千金妈妈提到的玛琼丽.威廉斯的.
其实岂独孩子为然,大人又怎会忘记陪伴自己成长的伙伴?也许是一个人,也许是一本书,也许,就是一个蓝袋鼠,或者一只绒布熊,一只绒布兔子.
非常喜欢两千金妈妈写的贴子，这个蓝袋鼠的故事看到最后，让人微笑又有些怅然。这是一篇很典型的写给孩子看的故事，但里面又包含了许多作者本身的感慨。其实每个人的心理，都有这么一只蓝袋鼠吧？
孩子的确更喜欢生活用品，尤其是你不让她碰的东西。还有，为什么每个孩子都喜欢卷筒纸呢？百思不得其解中。
PS：
真想让更多的人欣赏到这些优美的童书，一想到国内的幼儿画报我就气不打一处来。多么粗糙的儿歌，多么劣制的画面，却几乎每个小朋友人手一册。
可正象两千金妈妈说得，好的英文故事翻出来，就8是那么回事了。
西西，作为一个翻译事业的爱好者，我来说说我的看法。翻译是必要的，理由很简单。虽然英语现在几乎是除了汉语之外，说得人数最多的人，可是还有相当一部分人对英语很陌生。就拿小书房现在的阅读群，也包括一些第二语言学的是日语或者其他语言的人，英语不是很好。甚至也有一些小学生，他们的英语水平，还有待提高。
虽然有种说法是“翻译就是流矢的那些东西”。但是，我相当乐观的想，总是有一些能够保留下来的吧。而少数翻译的好的，反而比原著更加精彩也是可能的。比如吕叔湘翻译的一些译文，那真叫一个棒，原作者写的恐怕都没那么好呢。
蓝袋鼠那个, 拍书的水平有待提高哈。大家先凑合着看。
艾版，可是现在许多翻译的水平，真是，咳咳。
其实我觉得除非长篇大论，不然有些童书还真没必要翻译，尤其是一些童谣，翻出来就满不是那股味道了。
国内现在不是讲英语从娃娃抓起吗？父母和孩子一起努力好了。
新出了一个《嘀哒嘀哒滴》是双语儿歌，都是经典英文的童谣，原汁原味的，有任溶溶的翻译，好喜欢。

我这里贴两本有几个共同点的书。1、它们都是美国图书馆协会推荐的优秀儿童读物，(ALA Notable Books)；2、它们的主人公都是一只福大命大的母鸡；3、它们都是让人忍俊不禁甚至开怀大笑的图画书。
第一本Rosie's Walk，全文只有32个字。不过小读者们从图画中看到的可不只是32个字而已。故事说的是一只母鸡去散步，从头到尾有一只狐狸在 尾随着她。不过，正应了那句话：“傻人有傻福。”狐狸的阴谋总也不能得逞，反而吃尽了苦头，最后抱头鼠窜。我们的小母鸡安全地回到了家。图画中表现了典型的美国乡村农场的景物，谷仓、草垛、磨坊、还有乡间常见的小动物，一幅生机勃勃的景象。这一句话
32个字，也高度凝炼，不单概括了小母鸡的旅行，而且还能学到不同的介词，读起来又很有节奏。和这本书配套的磁带，配了一段乡村音乐，一个男声，一本正经地朗读了全书32个字。在每到狐狸出洋相的时候，就出来一个音响效果，听上去真是又好玩儿，又好笑。
紧密关注国内绘本出版的朋友，一定熟悉Keiko Kasza这个名字。东方娃娃的绘本版，引进了几本Keiko Kasza的书。下面这个好像不在其中的。实际上这本是我和孩子读到的第一本她的书。一下子就被它的幽默吸引了。你们看封面的老狼，腋下夹着本
“食谱大全”，躲在树后；鸡太太呢，还美滋滋地走呢，一点都不知道某人对她的幻想。这位狼先生哈，倒真是有些小聪明。他认为，如果把母鸡太太养胖些，他的红焖鸡大餐就更完美了。不过他的好梦很快就破灭了，因为，因为，你们自己看吧。

There once lived a wolf who
loved to eat more than anything
else in the world. As soon as he
finished one meal, he began to
think of the next.
One day the wolf got a terrible
craving for chicken stew.
All day long he walked across

stew," he thought.
The wolf crept closer. But

he cried. "Get nice and fat for my
stew!"
The next night he brought a
hundred scrumptious doughnuts.
"Eat well, my pretty chicken,"

And on the next night he brought
a scrumptious cake weighing a hundred pounds.
"Eat well, my pretty chicken,"

At last, all was ready. This was the

"That chicken must be as fat as a
balloon by now," he thought.
"Let's see."
But as he peeked into the

screeched,"Oh, so it was you, Mr. Wolf!"
"Children, children! Look, the
pancakes and the doughnuts
and that scrumptious cake -
they weren't from Santa Claus!
All those presents were from
Uncle Wolf!"
The baby chicks jumped all over
the wolf and gave him a hundred kisses.
"Oh, thank you, Uncle Wolf!
You're the best cook in the world!"
Uncle Wolf didn't have chicken
stew that night but Mrs. Chicken
fixed him a nice dinner anyway.
"Aw, shucks," he thought, as
he walked home, "maybe tomorrow
I'll bake the little critters a
hundred scrumptious cookies!"

欣赏了千金妈贴的《Rosie's Walk 》by Pat Hutchins，觉得绘画风格和我有的一本《THE SURPRISE PARTY》很象，拿来一看，果真是出自同一画者。拍了照片想上传，可是反反复复弄了半天，怎么看不到图。急呀
我也是才学会不久，你把照片上传到影集里，然后，打开照片，把那里的照片地址copy一
下，再回到这里来，点回帖子，点加图片，中间把地址贴上就行了。
这个人是画过好多书啊。我觉得国外图画书的作者，和国内的最大不同是，每个人
都有自己的风格。从多少本书里，你能一下就分辨出哪本是哪个人画的。这种创作
自己风格的思路，是国内图画书画家应该学习的。
我怎么看不到图，只能看到一个小白块，上面有个小红差，郁闷呀！是不是少装了什么软件？
