the little red hen
the little red hen lived in a house
with a lazy dog，a cat and a mouse
one day as she was looking for food on the ground
a little golden grain of wheat she found
and she said to her friends，“dog。。。cat。。。mouse
if you want some bread to eat，
who will help me plant this wheat？”
and the dog said，not I
and the cat said， not I
and the mouse said，not I
”my，my“said the hen with a sigh，
"I‘ll have to do it myself."
so the little red hen planted the seeds
she watered them well and she pulled the weeds
she tended those plants all alone
and when at last they were fully grown
she said to her friends，“dog。。。cat。。。mouse
if you want some bread to eat，
who will help me cut this wheat？”
and the dog said，not I
and the cat said， not I
and the mouse said，not I
”my，my“said the hen with a sigh，
"I‘ll have to do it myself."
so the little red hen cut and cut until
she had enough wheat to grind at the mill
and then she said to her friends，“dog。。。cat。。。mouse
if you want some bread to eat，
who will help me grind this wheat？”
and the dog said，not I
and the cat said， not I
and the mouse said，not I
”my，my“said the hen with a sigh，
"I‘ll have to do it myself."
so the little red hen ground the wheat to flour
and then at last it was the baking hour
the little red hen she baked so well
that the house was filled with a sweet cake smell
the lazy dog，the lazy cat，the lazy mouse
the followed their noses into the house
and when they saw the cake on the table
the licked their lips！
”well，well“said the little red hen
“all alone I planted and I tended and I cut and I ground
the little pile of golden wheat that I found
all alone I used the flour to bake
now who will help me eat this cake？”
and the dog said，“I'll help！”
and the cat said，“I'll help！”
and the mouse said，“I'll help！”
“well,well”said the hen
"I will share my canke with those of you
who helped when there was work to do
for after all is said and done
sharing the work, makes working fun!"
and after that, and time there was work to do,
everybody helped-
and everybody helped to eat it too!

小红鸡和懒狗、懒猫、懒耗子
住在一间房子里（在一间屋里住）
一天，它在找食物的时候（一天，它在外头找食物）
发现了几颗金色的麦粒儿（找着几粒麦子）
于是她对她的朋友说；“狗~~猫~~耗子~~，
如果你们想吃面包的话，（这里我费解，怎么前面面包，后面变蛋糕了。）
有谁来帮我种麦子啊？”
狗说：“不是我。”
猫说：“不是我。”
耗子说：“不是我。”
“唉”母鸡叹了口气，
“那我只好自己种了。”
就这样，小红鸡种下了种子。
她给它们浇水、除草，
自个儿照顾麦苗。
当麦子熟透的时候，
她对她的朋友们说：“狗~~猫~~耗子~~，
如果你们想吃面包的话，
有谁来帮我割麦子啊？”
狗说：“不是我。”
猫说：“不是我。”
耗子说：“不是我。”
“唉，”母鸡叹了口气，
“那我只好自己割了。”
就这样，小红鸡割呀割呀，
直到她的磨坊里有了足够多的麦子可磨。
然后她对她的朋友们说：“狗~~猫~~耗子~~，
如果你们想吃面包的话，
有谁来帮我磨麦子啊？”
狗说：“不是我。”
猫说：“不是我。”
耗子说：“不是我。”
“唉，”母鸡叹了口气，
“那我只好自己磨了。”
就这样，小红鸡把麦子磨成了面粉。
最后，到了烤蛋糕的时候，
小红鸡烤得香喷喷的，
房子里满是蛋糕的甜味儿。
懒狗、懒猫和懒耗子，
他们（在鼻子的带领下？？）闻着香味儿进了屋。
他们看着桌上的蛋糕，
舔了舔嘴唇！
“好啊，好啊”小红鸡说，
“我找到的金色的麦粒，
自个儿种，自个儿照顾，自个儿收割，自个儿磨面
还自个儿用这面粉烤了个蛋糕。
现在，谁能帮我吃掉它呀？“
狗说：“我帮你！”
猫说：“我帮你！”
耗子说：“我帮你！”
“好啊，好啊”小红鸡说，
“你们当中，谁在有活儿干的时候能帮忙，
我就乐意跟谁分享我的蛋糕。
有句话说得好，
有活儿分着干，这样才好玩！“
从那以后，只要有活儿，大家都会来帮忙。
——当然，大家也会帮忙吃蛋糕啦！
