说明:
本书目来源:Anita Silvey所著的“100 BEST BOOKS FOR CHILDREN——
A Parent's Guide to Making the Right Choices for your Young Reader, TODDLER TO PRETEEN”

Board Books(硬板书)0-2岁Goodnight Moon
Written by Margaret Wise Brown (1910-1952)
Illustrated by Clement Hurd (1908-1988)
Published in 1947 by Harper & Row
Birth to age 2       32 pages

本书正反映了布朗小姐的“HERE AND NOW”的观点。

Mr. Gumpy's Outing
by John Burningham (b.1936)
Published in 1971 by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston
Birth to age 2    32 pages

Borka: TheAdventures of a Goose with No Feathers" 赢得了当年的Kate GreenawayMedal,这是为英国为最优秀的图画书所颁发的奖项。
JohnBurningham相信真正优秀的儿童作品应该"contain as much for adults as forchildren"(为孩子提供与成年人同样多的内涵)。“Mr.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
By Eric Carle(b.1929)
Published in 1969 by World Publishing Company
Birth to age 2   24 pages

Freight Train
By Donald Crews (b. 1938)
Published in 1978 by Greenwillow Books
Caldecott Honor Book
Birth to age 2    24 pages

The Carrot Seed
Written by Ruth Krauss (1901-1993)
Illustrated by Crockett Johnson (1906-1975)
Published in 1945 by Harper & Row
Birth to age 2   28 pages

本书带给读者多方位的启示,它就是一本名副其实的“the little book with the big idea"(小书大内涵)。

Picture Books

Miss Nelson Is Missing!
Written by Harry Allard (b. 1928)
Illustrated by James Marshall (1942-1992)
Published in 1977 by Houghton Mifflin
Ages 5 to 8   32 pages

Madeline
By Ludwig Bemelmans (1898 -1962)
Published in 1939 by Simon & Schuster
Caldecott Honor Book
Ages 2 to 5    48 pages

The Snowman
By Raymond Briggs (b. 1934)
Published in 1978 by Random House
Ages 2 to 5    32 pages

Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel
By Virginia Lee Burton (1909-1968)
Published in 1939 by Houghton Mifflin
Ages 2 to 5    44pages

Millions of Cats
By Wanda Gag (1893-1946)
Published in 1928 by Coward McCann
Newbery Honor Book
Age 2 to 5    32 pages

Wanda Gag
